petty comments happen so fast

i dont even know how to
describe this last week.

on thursday i made up
with an old friend
and we picked up like
nothing over the past three years
has happened.
some shit he's gone through
and ive learned a lot
and im sorry i ever left
him behind.

on friday we spent the day together
like old times
and on saturday we picked
up our instruments again
and played for four hours
drinking and smoking
obsessively.

its nice to have him back
in my life.
i feel more complete
like a best friend was missing
and now he's back
and we're back
and our music is good
and this part of our lives
is okay now.

and things will be good.

things with the boyfriend
are going well too,
the most well ive ever felt
in and about a relationship.

though i know the bad might come
its good today
because i have my boyfriend
and my best friend.
